Garmin announces the availability and pricing of its fenix 7 Pro series and epix Pro series in Singapore.
The Garmin fenix 7 Pro series, which consists of the 42mm fenix 7S Pro, the 47mm fenix 7 Pro, and the 51mm fenix 7X Pro, has a built-in LED flashlight with variable intensities, a red safety light and strobe mode to provide greater awareness while training in the dark.
The fenix 7 Pro series also has a new MIP display with redesigned pixels, backlight and solar panel for enhanced indoor readability, higher brightness, better power efficiency, and adaptability to different lighting conditions.
The heart rate sensor is also improved with optical sensors and sport-specific algorithms for more accurate performance tracking on a wider variety of exercises. There is an Endurance Score that measures how easy it is to sustain prolonged efforts while taking into account other training data like VO2 max, and short and long-term training loads.
For hill runs, there is a Hill score for users to gauge how easy it is to run uphill by measuring running strength on steep climbs and running endurance on long ascents while also evaluating progress over time based on VO2 max and training history.
Other new features include Up Ahead for viewing certain running point of interest checkpoints, Weather map overlays to view upcoming weather conditions, Relief shading to read topographic maps for glanceable awareness, and additional preloaded activities such as whitewater rafting, motocross and overlanding.
The Garmin epix Pro series comes in three size options: 42mm, 47mm and 51mm. The epix Pro series boasts the same set of new features as the fenix 7 Pro series, except for the display. The epix Pro series sports a full-colour AMOLED display which supports Red Shift mode that changes display colours to shades of red to help users better acclimate to darker conditions and reduce sleep cycle disturbance.
