SEOUL -- Hyundai Motor announced on Tuesday that it plans to sell its Russian unit to a local dealer -- though with a buyback option -- as the company's factory in St. Petersburg has been suspended amid the war in Ukraine.
Hyundai said in a statement that a board meeting earlier in the day approved a plan for the company "to sell its entire stake" in Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus to Art-Finance.
