Local pricing for Nothing Phone (2) revealed - HardwareZone

The Nothing Phone (2).

Shortly after the end of the online launch event, Nothing updated the website to reflect the local pricing for the Nothing Phone (2). If this is the first time you're reading about the Nothing Phone (2), the company has been teasing their new phone of the year for a while now via third-party leaks. Now that the official launch has concluded, we can safely conclude that the new phone looks highly similar to last year's Nothing Phone (1) -- which was also launched exactly one year ago.

The Nothing Phone (2) will be available in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. They are priced at S$999 and S$1,099 respectively.

The Nothing Phone (2) with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage space is priced at S$1,099.

The Nothing Phone (2) runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform (the processor of choice for top phones in 2022) and 12GB RAM. It sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate.

Other specs include IP54 water/dust resistance, in-display fingerprint reader, facial recognition, dual-camera on the rear (50MP Sony IMX890 f/1.88 main with OIS + 50MP f/2.2 Samsung JN1 ultra-wide), 4K recording at 60fps, 32MP f/2.45 Sony IMX615 selfie camera, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3.

The 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage space configuration is priced at $999.

In a nutshell, the Nothing Phone (2) seems like a more powerful flagship-lite phone candidate and thus commands a much higher price point than the Nothing Phone (1) that launched for S$769. We don't think it will replace the Nothing Phone (1), but it seems to be complementing it as an option for the more demanding users with improved overall hardware across the board, including a larger screen, more battery and faster charging.

The Nothing Phone (2) comes at an apt time when more brands are solidifying their upper-tier mid-range and entry-flagship class phone models, such as Oppo's Reno 10 Pro+ 5G, Poco F5 Pro and even Google Pixel 7a, while also battling against class leaders like the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
